About
I’m Mell, a marketing consultant, copywriter and communications specialist based in Albury Wodonga. I founded Starfish Marketing in 2015 and have more than 30 years’ experience across marketing, sales and communications.
A big part of what I do is finding the right words. I write website copy, blogs, articles, social content, newsletters, marketing materials and other communications that help businesses and organisations explain who they are, what they do and why it matters.
I also work on content strategy, messaging and communications planning, bringing together the words and the thinking behind them.
I’m a Chartered Marketer, but I’m equally at home playing with words, untangling a complicated message or turning a brain dump into something people will actually want to read.
What people say
“
Mell is a creative and innovative storyteller who has a great ability to really capture what our business is about. We have found working with her easy, she’s so personable and invests her energy wholly in marketing our business. She’s a little quirky which gives us a completely different perspective on how our customers might look at our business. We are kept accountable with timely and relevant communication from her. It’s a real pleasure to do business with her.

Mell has a great ability to really get what it is your business is about, what you are trying to achieve and come up with creative and relevant ways to showcase this and really tell the story of your business. Personally, we have found working with her just so easy. She takes care of all of the marketing noise and keeps us accountable to what we need to do to maintain a consistent message in the marketplace. The burden of having to carry the responsibility of our marketing was lifted from our shoulders right from our first meeting with her.
