Marni Killalea

Marni is a visual artist based in Gerogery, New South Wales. Her contemporary portrait practice explores themes of identity, emotion, and the strength found within everyday experience.

Working intuitively with acrylic paint, ink, spray paint, and mixed media, she creates bold, expressive portraits that combine vibrant colour, layered texture, and gestural mark-making. Her work celebrates the complexity of womanhood, balancing vulnerability with resilience through contemporary figurative painting.

Alongside her studio practice, Marni teaches Visual Arts at Wodonga TAFE, where she supports emerging artists in developing their technical skills and creative voice.
