Believers Grant Program

Believers Grant Program

Closing Date

Please note the grant is open all year round. Closing date for applications is 30 June 2027 or until funds are exhausted – Whichever comes first.

About

We’re funding the people, projects and programs that are creating the conditions for young people’s creativity to flourish at scale. We’re looking for inventive and dynamic experiments that encourage young people to be curious, to explore, to be lifelong learners and to build community and become high agency people.

We’re looking to back projects that are 0-1 (just starting) or 1-10 (scaling or iterating). We’re not looking for established groups or projects.

You might be a neighbourhood community science lab, a hacker house, a hardware garage makerspace, a travelling STEM roadshow or an after-school arts or coding club. We want to hear from you!

Eligibility

To be able to apply for, and receive, a Believers grant, you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. We have no flexibility on the below criterion:

  • Individuals, groups, organisations established in Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Projects that will take place in Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Projects that will be completed in 12-months
  • Projects whose core focus is primarily creative outcomes
  • Organisations with less than $1.5M in revenue

What sort of projects are they funding?

We’re primarily looking for people and projects that unleash young people’s creativity at scale.

Our scope is wide and vague because we are looking for projects that have not been done yet or are doing things differently. We don’t want to be prescriptive; we want to back wild ideas that explore the intersections of creativity, technology, science, media, storytelling, culture and arts. We have a high appetite for risk, and we’re on the hunt for great people doing good work that creates magic.

The most prescriptive we’ll be is that we are looking to fund projects going from 0-1 (just starting out) or 1-10 (scaling up or iterating and experimenting but with solid momentum and some wins under the belt so far).
