Artist Fee Assistance for Venues
10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund is a Victorian Government program delivered by Music Victoria that will fund venues to provide Victorian musicians with paid performance opportunities in the state of Victoria.
Key Information
Applications Open: 10am Wednesday 12 August 2026 (AEST)
Applications Close: 2pm Wednesday 2 September 2026 (AEST)
Outcome Notification: By the end of November 2026
Eligible Project Dates: Between 1 December 2026 and 30 June 2027
Grant Amount: $5,500 or $11,000
Eligible Venues
- Licensed Live Music Venues (State-wide) whose primary business model is presenting live music with a capacity between 50-1,200 people
- Local Venues (Outer-metro and Regional Victoria only) with a capacity less than 1,200 people. (e.g. record stores, bookstores, community centres, town halls, hospitality venues or presenter or promoter collaborating with a local venue etc.).
Grant Amounts
Venues can apply for one of two grant amounts:
- $5,500 (excl. GST) to present 10 gigs. A minimum of $5,000 should go to artist fees, with the additional $500 provided to assist with overhead costs, including, event set-up, marketing and promotion, or
- $11,000 (excl. GST) to present 20 gigs. A minimum of $10,000 should go to artist fees, with the additional $1,000 provided to assist with overhead costs, including event set-up, marketing and promotion
First Peoples
The 2026 round of 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund has a dedicated First Peoples application and assessment process, delivered by Creative Victoria First Peoples program staff in collaboration with Music Victoria.
