About
I am a full time visual artist based in the Riverina, currently practicing from my home studio on a sheep property in Morundah NSW, by the Yanco Creek. I studied Visual Arts at the National Art School in Sydney before completing my degree in Visual Arts at UOW.
“Growing up on a farm in Coleambally in the MIA and later by the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point, I have developed a deep appreciation for the rural landscape. My love and knowledge of regional topography, waterways and surrounding country is depicted in fine detail with delicate trails of paint. My most recent works have evolved from my love of drawing on paper. Using pencil or charcoal, or working with watercolor with improvised brushes, I have a high regard for detail as seen in a feather of a bird or the tendrils of a plant which I layer over the top of dried markings created by pools of water and pigment”
