Workshop: Staying relevant in regional markets
A practical 4 hour workshop about AI integration, collaboration and marketing strategies
The Australian design industry is rapidly evolving.
AI, design democratisation and changing client expectations are reshaping the role of designers. Join us to discuss how this affects regional practices and hear what others are doing to survive.
We’re going to share how we’ve helped other creatives adapt, build sustainable client relationships, and leverage new tools to stay competitive. We’ll show you why collaboration beats competition every time, and how to build a sustainable practice that doesn’t rely on being the cheapest option.
And we’ll demonstrate how AI tools can strengthen (not replace) your expertise.
Presented by Carol Mackay and Greg Branson from Design Business Council, practitioners who’ve built and run a successful design studio for 30+ years and now mentor Australian designers on the business of design.
Date: Monday 16 March 2026, at the travel-friendly times of 10am – 3pm
Location: Wagga Wagga (venue tbc.)
Suitable for: design business owners located in regional NSW, curious about the future of the design industry and wanting to maintain a relevant, sustainable design business.
This is a free workshop but numbers are limited and we’re taking expressions of interest.
EOIs close 30 November 2025.
