BEATS – Music Mentorship Call Out

Are you aged 15–27 and passionate about music? Whether you’re a solo artist, in a band, or keen to learn about production, event management or marketing — BEATS (Band Enabling and Training Sound-Lab) wants to hear from you!

BEATS is a new initiative supporting young and emerging musicians and music industry enthusiasts across NSW. Participants will take part in online mentoring and a songwriting course with I Heart Song Writing Club, leading into a 5-day live-in Sound-Lab intensive at the Deniliquin Ute Muster festival site (23–27 March 2026). The program culminates in a 2-day festival and Battle of the Bands (28–29 March 2026) — with the winning act performing live on the Deni Ute Muster stage!

This hands-on experience will help you develop your skills in songwriting, performance, sound engineering, event coordination, A/V tech, and stage management, while building networks with other young creatives and industry mentors.

💡 Who Should Apply

• Musicians, DJs, songwriters, or producers aged 15–27
• Aspiring sound engineers, lighting and production crew
• Emerging event managers, promoters, and marketers
• Youth keen to build a career in the live music industry

We strongly encourage applications from First Nations youth, regional and rural NSW, LGBTIQA+ participants, CALD backgrounds, and young people with disability.
