The Town That Moved Art Show and Sale 2026

Overview

Artists are invited to submit artwork and entry forms by 12:00pm Monday 22^nd June to Anthony Dufty at Benambra Lodge Rooms on Towong Street, Tallangatta.

The exhibition will run Thursday 25th to Saturday 27^th June 2026 11:00am – 7:00pm daily.

Opening Night

Opening night at the Masonic Hall will be on Thursday 25^th June.

Judging will take place during the week and prizes awarded on the opening night. Supper and drinks will be provided for a minimal cost of $5 per person. Sponsors free. This is an opportunity to meet other artists and prospective buyers. Artists will ne supplied a name tag.

• No more than 10 entries between all categories.
• All work must be for sale unless specified.
• For art/photography including up to but not exceeding H55cm x W75cm – entry fee will be $5 per entry.
• For art/photography including frames larger than H55cm x W75cm but not exceeding 1 sq mtr – entry fee will be $10 per entry.
• 20% commission on all sales will be retained by the Rotary Club of Tallangatta on behalf of the Art Show to be paid by cash or other arrangement. Refunds will not be given unless special circumstances arise.
• Tallangatta Primary School entries are free.
• Art/Photography packaging should be well in good condition and well labelled for your entries protection.
• All works must be the entrant’s own original design plus a design in which no other person has copyright.
• Judge to award $ prizes from a total prize pool of $850 and highly commended awards on the theme of “Sustainable Landscapes”.
• Framing – The back of each piece should be neat, sealed, ready to hang with D-rings and multiple strand wire and labelled with title of work, artist’s name, price, and contact details. Please consider your customer when pricing your piece and their right to an undamaged, well-presented original artwork/photograph.
• Works for this exhibition must be reasonably recent and in as-new condition.
• The Town That Moved Art Show and Sale Coordinator reserves the right to withhold a prize if there is no competition.
• The Coordinator and Judge will have absolute discretion as to interpretation of the rules and quality of work. Decisions will be final, and no discussion will be entered into.
• No more than 10 entries, but in the case that space becomes an issue, the show Coordinator will reserve the right to downsize your entries. Please mark your preference to exhibit 1,2,3 etc. All entries will be judged provided above requirements are met.
• No late entries will be accepted (unless in special circumstances.)
• Works entered in this exhibition must remain a part of the exhibition for its duration unless sold and an explicit request from customer is received.
• Signing of the entry form allows the coordinator permission to photograph entrants’ work for publicity purposes. Preferably please supply a good quality digital photograph in jpg format before your entry is framed. Our photos do not do your work justice.
• Please supply a personal CV/Profile for exhibition publicity and potential buyers.
• All prizes and sales money will be made payable to the artist on the day paid by direct transfer to a nominated bank account (minus 20% commission). Pricing can be negotiated between artist and customer.
